We are glad that you found us!
We are a Vineyard USA church in Simi Valley and our goal is to tell others that God is faithful and loving to every person - no exception! It was that same committed love that led Jesus to the Cross to take the penalty for our sins so that you and I can have renewed fellowship with God. The good news is that God knew our every sin - past, present and future. And when Jesus died on our behalf, every sin was covered.
We named our church 'the Well' after the story about the woman that Jesus met by the Well of Jacob (John 4).
This woman Jesus met at the well had a lot of false starts, bad relationships and life-crashes. She lived on the fringes of her village in shame and ridicule. But in her conversation with Jesus, she was completely honest and open with him about her fears, her disappointments and her anger. Jesus pointed to her honest response and said, "God looks for that kind of honesty in those that seek Him."
So that's who we are trying to be too: a community of followers of Jesus trying to help others find God as we have. We want to tell others enough of the story so that they are in a position to have their own individual encounter with Jesus as did the Woman at the Well. We invite the uninvited, the disenfranchised, the unaffiliated and the uncertain. We aren't perfect. Sometimes we are down-right disappointing. But we are still trying to get it right by God's grace.
